NewsHour viewers last night (9/9/10) might have been surprised to see a long one-on-one conversation with far-right activist/lobbyist Dick Armey, promoting his new book, Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto.
The interview gave Armey ample room to explain the Tea Party movement’s beliefs, with host Judy Woodruff offering no real challenge to any of Armey’s rhetoric–like when he claimed that Tea Party activists are “probably the kindest, gentlest, most gentle souls we ever saw. We had a million of them in town last September, and they left the town cleaner than they found it.”
Armey is wildly exaggerating the size of that Tea Party protest. (It’s not the first time his group has done so.) That makes some sense, though, considering that FreedomWorks has been intimately involved with organizing, training and in some cases directing these activists.
A more helpful assessment of Armey’s work appeared on many PBS stations last year, courtesy of the Bill Moyers Journal (9/18/09), which pointedout that Armey’s stirring calls for getting the government out of our lives and away from our healthcare are difficult to square with Armey’s reliance on government healthcare benefits throughout his career–first as a professor at a state university, and then as a Congressman:
And when he retired from Congress 18 years later, he was insured by that plan until he turned 66 and Medicare, another government program, kicked in…. You can’t blame him for keeping his government health plan. It’s great. It gave him a lot of options, dozens of private insurers to choose from, and with 8 million members in it, the federal government’s got the muscle to negotiate some of the best premiums and drug prices in the country.
And there’s more:
Now get this: Dick Armey thought so much of that federal health plan–the Cadillac of coverage–that he tried to keep it as his primary carrier, instead of that other federal program, Medicare.
Mr. Armey wanted an option. A government option. How about that?
But he couldn’t get out of Medicare without losing his Social Security (they’re hitched together–you give up one, you give up both), so he’s suing to divorce the two…. And now he says he’s happy to buy his health insurance on his own.
That bit of history would have been helpful for NewsHour viewers who had to listen to Armey denounce Social Security and Medicare for being mandatory: “Let all subscription to government support and assistance programs be voluntary.” Huh.
PBS anchor Judy Woodruff had a message for viewers at the close of the interview–they’ll be interviewing “liberal Democrat” Arianna Huffington to get a “very different perspective.” But “balance” isn’t really the problem here. There are countless authors who’ve written interesting political books who deserve airtime; why grant a soft interview to someone like Dick Armey, who has no problem airing his views on commercial media? Huffington has plenty of opportunities to share her views as well. (She runs a rather popular website, for starters.) Remember the point of public broadcasting is to strive to “provide a voice for groups in the community that may otherwise be unheard.” A politician-turned-corporate lobbyist wouldn’t seem to qualify.

PBS: Pentagon Bull Shingle.
Please note: The ACORN Hoax and the recent Terry Jones Q’ran burning threat along with the 51 Park Avenue controversy with its elements of contivance from the critics of the Muslim Center seem to follow the disproving of TEA Party demonstration’s exagerated numbers.
pbs is basically as depressing as the rest of tv these day. maybe worse, since it’s sneakier and more outrageous.
charlie rose’s credits (a giant coke bottle first comes to mind) is a very, very long list of big money supporters. it’s a perfect representative of every “intellectual” show on pbs now.
there’s hardly two hours in a row worth watching anymore on pbs, and so many repeats you have to wonder what the budget actually looks like.
pbs i’ve heard called petroleum broadcasting and propaganda broadcasting.
but, hey, those were only the tags given by investigative journalists.
what do they know?
yes, pbs was taken over by the rightwing soon as it was possible, 2000-2001.
taken over just like the rest of everything, therefore, it does represent the public.
and, i am SHOCKED, SHOCKED that there are trolls here just like at every good website where the articles try to tell objective truths. the rightwing hates the truth because it shows how sneaky and awful they are. rightwing political operatives are everywhere at every level. dick armey is just one of those on top of the heap.
judy and jim have lost all credibility with me, as has pbs in general.
it’s depressing, for sure, how it exemplifies so well the entrenched republican money control freaks who obviously don’t give a hoot about community public service or democratic ideals.
janiceG – thanks for your input, very interesting to hear views about PBS and what it once was. Too bad corporate has to take over everything.
What do you all think of the BBC?
Thanks.
We had to turn it off. i couldn’t believe they were giving that criminal aair tiem. It is so sad. Get a Dish and watch Democracy Now, Free Speech TN, World Link and send them support.
Sorry Pete. You can sift through the Tea party and find people who are hypocrites on some level or another all you want. You can call the TEA Party any name you want. You miss the point. For the first time in my life people are saying out loud “wait a minute the constitution does not say that”.They are learning slowly about that great work. And forcing its application upon our political leaders. At a time when we have a president and a movement(progressives)that sees it as a mean document that inhibits government from acting.
To kill a snake they say you must step on the head.If the TEA PARTY be a snake….the head you must step on is the constitution.Good luck with that.
Absolutely: “wait a minute the constitution does not say that”
It’s supposed to protect us, citizens, from the misuse of power by elite groups, like Koch brothers whose oil money finance the “Tea Party.” TP is certainly no independent, peoples/citizen’s party by any stretch of the imagination.
The Tea Party is just a front for corporate interests who are willing to prostitute the constitution of this country in order to keep their flacks, the Republicans, in power. Mr. Armey is the face of an ugly business, and he is a liar and a hypocrite. (And I’ll bet he professes to be a Christian too.) Last time I checked, this democracy was supposed to be “of the people, by the people, and for the people”, and so good government, means government that supports the common good of the people. In order to support the common good, everyone must pay taxes, it is a privilege, not a burden. And the more that you benefit from living in America, the more taxes you should pay. That’s just common sense. The Tea Party was created by the wealthy, in an effort to cut their taxes, and most members are well-to-do, and white. By the way, the constitution belongs to every American, not just the Tea Party members.
As Elizabeth points out, “Democracy Now” with Amy Goodman is a great resource for getting news without corporate influence or spin. If your channel lineup does not carry it, it is both streamable and downloadable over the interwebs :). Just go to http://www.democracynow.org/
Power to the people.
The Tea Party has it’s ugly angle, but it is hardly a “corporate front” as it formed primarily in opposition to the Wall Street bailouts.
I often appreciate FAIR’s critiques, but I think this one is a bit off the mark. Dick Armey is an influential conservative and respected former member of Congress. It is no more inappropriate than an interview with Al Gore were he promoting a new book. Unless your point is that the Right should not be featured on public TV.
The tea party is not as of now a party folks.NOt to rival the Ds or the Rs.But it carries great clout. Because It is a natural uprising of the people demanding from BOTH sides an adherence to the constitution and capitalist principles. It could not exist in a vacume like the other two parties.IT is a reaction to infringements on the individuals rights in favor of the collective. It is a reaction to socialist policies. It is a reaction to Lord Obama. You libs will have to work overtime this time to paint Tea party folks as corporate toadies or the rest of that crap.LIke Obama’s army that rose up against Bush(and has now vanished do to his being an utter disaster)the tea party is an organic group. No one leader.Just a wave of humanity who get it..and are gonna GIVE IT to this bunch come November.
Genierae………….Your statement indicating that those who benefit more from living in America deserve to pay more is crap, and no where to be found in the constitution.Paying taxes is a privilege???Well hows about that lovely privilege is given to the 50% that pays nothing!!!!87% is already payed by the top wage earners.Would you have it that they support everyone?Lets just kick the tax rate for them up to 98% why don’t we.THen they can really be people of” privilege”.Lets go back ,and Let me set you strait about that -and the “WE the people”comment.WE the people deals with individual rights ,over the collective.IN effect the collective will do better honoring individual rights.Same goes with State rights as played against the Fed.The way you twisted it is socialism or communism. You seem a hard core lib so no surprise there.Taxes according to the constitution shall ONLY be collected/levied from taxes on goods and services.”NO MAN SHALL BE TAXED ON HIS WAGE”The founding fathers were clear on saying that government should keep its hand off of your Wealth…your land and so on.I will agree with you on we all should pay taxes statement.A flat tax would be great.Everybody pays the same 30%.Nothing wrong with fair burdens so we all can suffer.Or how about in your world we just make the rich pay more straight up.You go for a hotdog and show your w4 and it costs you a dollar.I show mine and it costs me 20!That way it is up front and honest.Still robbery like the tax code- but honest robbery at least. So as far as common sense…. lets instead call it common insanity.
The tea party is a reaction to people who believe as you do.But lets get along.Maybe your new slogan should be “the more America profits from YOU living here—- the less you should pay.”Instead you punish success, and you subsidize failure. And you pull the lever for a community activist who doesn’t have a clue.Tea party members do not have a claim on the constitution. But they seem to have a claim on understanding a man who believes it is a “MEAN DOCUMENT THAT LIMITS GOVERNMENT”…..AS if thats a bad thing.
Um, it’s the Tea-Bagger Party. And “Big” Dick Armey is not a respected former member of Congress. He’s a money-grubbing asshole of breath-taking hypocrisy. I’ve watched this fuckhead do his thing over the last fiteen years or so, and just when you think he’s out of the picture, he pops up all over Tee Vee like a malignant Jack-in-the-box. Like Gingrich, Palin, et.al., Armey chief concern is making a pile of pelf. He does this by duping the dopes like You Know Who above. As we can clearly see, it’s amazingly easy and very effective. Keep that in mind next time you get all soft on Armey, kvhout. And remember how the Baggers got their name, and what it means–Armey’s dunkin’, and the Baggers are swallowing it.
I am not sure how “hypocritical” Armey is TimN, you would have to expand upon that characterization. I am sure we are all aware of the Right’s efforts to discredit the anti-war movement by linking it to George Soros. No doubt there are some troubling corporate sponsors of Armey and the Tea Party. My point was that I am not following FAIR’s point on this one: should Armey not be interviewed on PBS about his book simply because we might not agree with him? That is not democracy. If you want to complain, complain that PBS has not given comparable coverage to Noam Chomsky or another influential author for the activist Left, if that is the case.
Wow read the last sentence of TImN.Read it over and over and over again.Teach it and explain it to your children.Read it and put it to song.Make it into bumper stickers.I think it correctly reflects the soul of the liberal end of the Democratic party perfectly.Tim you are the poster child. When November comes ,and you loose, and loose ,and loose again, and only your President is left standing- the last to fall……Will you turn your seething hatred on everyone who just doesn’t buy into your superior intellect and your filthy insults?
While I do not appreciate TimN’s poor language and inuendo, I am equally incensed by the bizzaro-world commentary from the right on this thread. Please spell check your comments. Recognize that FAIR is consulted by a variety of open-minded people of many perspectives who wish for fairness and accuracy in reporting, and unlike corporate-oriented outlets, we would just like a little truth. The mission of PBS is not to give some sort of shallow ideological balance (you can listen to Left, Right, and Center if you want that), but to open up the airwaves to voices not given coverage elsewhere. Dick Armey is not one of those voices. He is all over the airwaves and has ample time to convey his message. As with the original post, I am not concerned about the ideology per se of the NewsHour, but that it is violating the PBS mission of giving voice to the community. Dick Armey has no trouble getting his message in any number of forums.
tishado:
As an avid News Hour viewer, I can agree with you to a point. I think that they could bring in any host of speakers from say the Libertarian Party and get a more authentic presentation on the concerns of the grass roots Tea Party than listening to an establishment Republican. Where I caution my progressive friends is that you should recognize that much of what the Tea Party is against: corporate welfare, bailouts, government secrecy is going to be echoed by the likes of Ralph Nader and most self described “progressives”. There ARE extremist elements of the TP, just as any populist movement. There are also opportunists exploiting it. It only concerns me that too many are belittling them, dismissing them as racist kooks etc. only because they are rural and white and the President is a Democrat. I find this intellectualy dishonest and I’ve found FAIR to usually be intellectually consistent even where I do not often agree with your slant.
Michael E. Your description of the Tea Party sounds suspiciously like anarchism, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. I’ll feel free to correct you since your spell-check must be out of whack. Vacuum not “vacume”. My spell-check just showed me the difference. Of course “do to his being…” would not be corrected because “do” is a viable word. I don’t think a grammar-correct has been processed as yet.
Fair needs to filter commentary. Brain dead exchanges between nincompoops does not profit anyone. No doubt thoughtful contributers avoid this opportunity to share information, & insight as it is dominated by the non compass mentis with nothing better to do than what one can read above. Those of you who engage with obvious idiots, well what can anyone say to you? It will be quite a while before I dare to tread in this morass of stupidity again.
Sorry Dennis.I do zoom ahead in my free moments ,and I never spell check.I type very fast- and I concur I am awash in mistakes that I care little to correct. Call it being a stiff necked Scot under it all, or plain laziness.I fear the latter.Lets spell that “ladder” for ol times sake. I do catch hell for it from these bloggers and my staff. My favorite was when I spelled president as “Prwdudent”.
As far as tea party description…..Its goals are out there for all to read.Very little for any American to disagree with in those goals.Yet the left has fostered all kinds of innuendo. And at times the right as well.Because in the end it is against much of what the Rs and the Ds represent for this country. Both have grown government and its powers beyond what the constitution would have.Bush was a violator have no doubt.Of course the alignment of the TP is closer to the Republican party.Simply put because the Democrats have been hijacked by an ultra left wing element. This element has little kindred spirit with limited government or capitalism. And the constitution is a hinderance to them in their grab for power so expect no friendly xmas cards from The tea party members to our president.
I see the Tea party as a referee in a fight.Keeping it clean.I feel their influence will benifit both sides. You see it already. Many Democrats are treating Obama like poison. His polls are crashing.Americans are slowly coming to grips with buyers remorse. And the Glen Becks, the Rush Limbaughs, the constitutionalists and Tea Party members I believe should not be blamed- as much as thanked for showing the other side of the coin with connecting evidence. You may call it spin. But when the vP says 500 thou jobs per month- and Beck say no jobs will be created….well Americans can see who was right. When Obama says we are on the right track and Rush tears him to pieces most folks see which side is up.When the Tea party jumps up on its soap box(tea chest)and points to a copy of the constitution quietly asking Obama; “where do you derive the power to do those things you have done? The public looks to Obama for an answer.Instead we are met with a stoney silence. When he spends more in months than every president combined from Washington to Reagan(CBO)and it accomplishes little but the creation of government jobs and millions of “phantom”jobs Americans get it.Its name is TITANIC.And it aint unsinkable. It is unsustainable!
The Tea party I hope will not be taken over by” leaders”.I hope it stays a voice, and has any number of changing voices helping to articulate its mission.Be clear. Its mission is to illuminate to the people who Mr obama and his ilk are.And in doing so free America to a brighter future.A future of individual freedoms and unhindered possibility.A future where we agree to be governed not ruled. And that means in practice less….far less government size and power.WE hope to raise the bar to the realization of American exceptionalism once more.Obama has no place in that. His place is in the introspection of Americas short comings.Or the golf course.Take your pick. I have always said if you can just force Obama to account for his words and deeds, he will be run out of town on a rail.I studied him for years before most even heard of him.He is like nailing jello to a wall.A slippery character. The Tea party just may be that nail- that was so needed during the last election cycle. But In the end they are just a name among many names, of people who will bring down this madness.A drop of water in a rising tide.
I see Michael E is still bloviating in spite of requests in this space to ignore him…well I’ve done my part I ignored all 3 of todays bloviations because I know they will simply report the right wing trivia that nuts like Dick Armey are selling with suitcases of corporate money… I would guess the only reason PBS is buying what Armey and Michael are selling is because they need the money.
When I see the Nuts on PBS I hit the mute … and the mutes are getting longer.
Jim Dick Armey is for sure a colorful character .And his book…another in a long list of DC- centric books(this about the Tea party movement)is not definitive in any sense.Just one mans perspective.Ive read it.He sounds to me a little like Al Gore claiming invention rights for the internet.Takes wild credit where none is due.Personally I don’t think he gets that “HE” is the dinosaur the tea party is partly against. That entrenched beurocrat a la Ted Kennedy. So hey we are happy with all people entering the new discussion on how America lives with her constitution and capitalist principles. But as of now Dick Army does not define that.
Bloviating……I love that.Gonna get a shirt printed. And I feel honored.Im in good company.Im bloviating on FAIR blogs…..And Obama was bloviating for 2 years in an election cycle, and going on two years as golfer n chief.Make that two shirts!
PBS????Yeah that bastion of right wing insanity. That neo con den filled with skull and bones members. Why the other day they had all those old 50s singing groups on for a revival. And remember what the 50s where known for….RACISM!!!!!!!!!Oh I get it.Yeah PBS evil evil evil.Shhhhh they are against Obama i think.Shhhhh keep it to yourselves.LOL LOL LOL get a grip you tools
we can be pretty sure that michael e. never contributed to or depended upon pbs tv or radio for his news. his comments here are an unpleasant and nonsensical irritant. if he’s not signed up to be a troll…
well, i’d be surprised.
back to the article, the author gives important information about dick armey and his hypocrisy. armey’s description of the group currently embarrassing america in nyc lately was obviously meant to build up the confidence of the flagwaving republican-loving, angry members and at the same time to keep the “idea” of their existence alive in the media, where it was “naturally” born.
these people who call obama a socialist and hitler at the same time…?.. the only message there is that they have no respect for the democrat president, that they believe in name-calling and ugly smears, and that they have absolutely no tolerance for socialism or understanding about what it actually means.
the calling of obama to like hitler is a more interesting oddity.
the republican rightwing operation really loves planting a little truth into their big lies while at the same time accusing the other side of being exactly what they are ! mixing things ups, you know, so that noone can really discuss any of what they say without getting disgusted or just confused. this kind of politics is so tiring and irritating, it’s very hard to want to stay with it. it’s full of maniacs and liars.
but, following the money is always a way to keep things at least partially clear.
i believe the rightwing common folk have no idea how much money is being stolen by their heroes at the top of the neoconartists heap, or they might feel different. maybe not.
all i know is, dick armey’s army reminds me of ralph reed’s fundamentalist “church”-going army of the last decade. the story of ralph reed and his friends like karl rove and the guy who went to jail for stealing so much money is one i don’t think has gotten much play on pbs or any of the msm, for sure.
Do you people realize how far gone you are? The mainstream media isn’t leftist enough for you people?! ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, New York TImes – the list is as endless as Soros’ money. You’ve got the unions, Hollywood, the academics polluting our children’s minds… I’m stunned. Is it the control freak in you that wont allow you to rest until anyone who might disagree with your point of view has been silenced? If you people are so unfairly treated that you need fair.org, why don’t you try turning the channel to Fox News at the gym. Or try publicly expressing a conservative opinion in any of the big cities. Try being a kid in class these days – the teachers are unbelievable. Even in art class, the teachers find ways to share their politics with their captive audience. You people have no idea because you’re willfully blind to anyone’s plight but your own. You’r constant lecturing the rest of us about “tolerance” – I never met a group of people less tolerant than those who preach “tolerance”.
This is why I have given up on “public” TV & quit contributing. Letting Bill Moyers go & replacing him with useless, toothless fluff was the last straw.
IF ONLY!!! the ignorance and misaimed, co-opted squawking and complaining and ranting and trolling of rightwing groupies COULD be silenced !
then we could actually think about the mess we’re ALL IN.
INSTEAD, THE PEOPLE ARE MISINFORMED (some much worse than others), DISTRACTED AND OVERWHELMED BY JUNK CORPORATE MESSAGES, LIVING IN BANKRUPT COMMUNITIES AND STATES, BARELY MAKING IT AT HOME, ROBBED BY THE RICHEST,GREEDIEST BUNCH OF MANIACS THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN AT ONE TIME, WHILE PATHETICALLY SCARED SHIT OF THINGS LIKE….!?….” ART TEACHERS, UNIONS, AND ACADEMICS”. !!! oh lordy!
jack abramoff is who i was thinking of. ( in that last comment, above) who’s now in a half-way house, or was. (short time for big criminals, we know)
but don’t forget the whole list of scamartists! falwell, limbaugh, 700 club money-grubber assassination proponent, roberts; ann (bully, smirker, highschool meangirl)coulter, etc. but, yeah, ralph reed and abramoff, karl rove and the machine of rightwing domestic managers. add gingrich. add liz cheney. add dick armey. oh, oh, sarah, too, queen of the prom(enade of deception).
…..
all those beckers who love to tell the uninformed talkie radio masses how different they are than the rest of us, how the rest of us little people are their enemies… while they laugh all the way … to the.. you know… BANK, and live far, far away in prestigious places where none of US ever go.
we’re like one inch from fascism in this country, and these misinformed and/or uninformed people think and scream that liberals are the problem!? HA.
it’s pathetic how “tolerant” THEY are of hate, generalizations, lies, discrimination, divisiveness, plain bullying, and of the well-paid and professional instigating troublemakers WHO ARE THEIR HEROES being paid to dish out the junk for you.
not to mention how these trolls tolerate the war machine, mass murdering, torture, and plunder world over that their favorite party leaders make most of their money from, while the country here is dying,
and the children (after art class) are being recruited to go kill and die!!!!! FOR WHAT?
art teachers!!!
is she kidding?
@michael e ; “.He sounds to me a little like Al Gore claiming invention rights for the internet”. Except Gore didn’t claim that. That was an RNC “clarification” of a Gore statement that said something very different. Are all your “fact” this accurate? Or do you just swallow whatever Limbaugh/Beck tells you?
@reply: “You people have no idea because you’re willfully blind to anyone’s plight but your own. You’r constant lecturing the rest of us about “tolerance” â┚¬“ I never met a group of people less tolerant than those who preach “tolerance”.” You’re right – my tolerance for ignorance and fear is pretty minimal.
@reply: “the list is as endless as Soros’ money.” Or the Koch Brothers, for that matter. Try again with your boogyman stuff.
Janice
You are right. We conservatives have no tolorance for socialism BECAUSE we know what it means.Your views are those of most shrieking libs who have a hate and blame America first mentality.Class warfare mindlessness. My views are counter to yours thank a merciful God..And since this is not a lib socialist police state yet….you wont be silencing us/me anytime soon all your wishes aside. He go hide in the closet .The cooporate boogyman is here.Geez
Hugh if I was gonna say anything about Al Gore it would be this.Turn the air in his high priced room way up and send ugly woman up with oil and a towel to say the ice age has come.He is off his rocker and it seems a serial assaulter(two more woman have come forward)What the hell was he and Clinton drinking back on those cross country bus days.Joke …What do you call an easy girl in Arkansas?Any girl who cant outrun Bill!!!!!!
REPLY……Ah a fellow traveler along the byways.A warning to you.”Cover you briskett . And don’t let them get you on the ground whatever you do.It will be the oak trungeon, rubber hose, and boot tap with this lot.Hands like mature hams for pounding small helpless folks like you”.In other words they are angrier in victory than defeat. And worst of all they can smell the defeat that is coming. You see- they see power as their rightful place due to their superior intelligence don’t ya know.I can hear the consternation in your “voice” at the gall. The high handed -high horse elitist snobs and the absolute gall…..To tell people how they SHALL live.Under their patient and calming hand of course. So Well said. But you will find no tolorance here for any view that counters that held by the loony tune lib thought speak world.Remember they actually believed -and voted for this man boy of a president who will of surpassed Carter by a country mile as the biggest disaster n chief ever by the time we throw him out on his arse- golf clubs and all come nov- 12.
Thanks again for your continuing support in catapulting the Fauxnews propaganda…”shrieking libs…hate and blame America first …class warfare…police state….elitist snobs.” Good boy, here’s a treat….
Um, it’s would be my distinct honor to have a bumper sticker with one of my more vulgar and unseemly witticisms on it . . . how ’bout this one: “Boy oh boy that m. e. sure is a simpleton!” Or, “Fuckin’ m. e. doesn’t have the sense that God gave a handful of gravel!” Or maybe a more generic one; a bit less personal, but still fitting: “Trolls: Liars and Knaves! Fuck ’em all!” It’s a start, so keep up the bad work, m. e. and you other trolls–keep up the deep, deep “thinking” and “writing” of your profound “ideas,” and I’ll do my best to keep up my end.
P.S.: Exactly what kind of a dope would happily admit to not using “spell-check,” and then make a lame joke about how cool it is to be careless and stupid? Why, the kind who has no use for grammar, syntax, and even a rudimentary sense of getting things right in any way. The initials make sense–it’s all about You Know Who, a narcissist for the ages, and a thoroughly modern one at that, in this age of Bush–the higher one holds oneself in regard, the stupider one is.
He came on fast.Like a streaking light outta the darkness.I was struck on the knuckles by his magic ruler and went down hard.It was….it was….it was Tim the spell check girl dripping avarice and OCD drool from his slack jaw.I’ll never be the same. All right enough arguing with someone who spent a summer working at the renaissance fair (Trolls; Liars and knaves??)
Im looking at returns and political analysis from both left and right.Looks like the Tea Party is the mouse that roared!
@michael e : “Hugh if I was gonna say anything about Al Gore it would be this.Turn the air in his high priced room way up and send ugly woman up with oil and a towel to say the ice age has come.He is off his rocker and it seems a serial assaulter(two more woman have come forward)What the hell was he and Clinton drinking back on those cross country bus days.Joke â┚¬Ã‚¦What do you call an easy girl in Arkansas?Any girl who cant outrun Bill!!!!!!”
Oh yeah, there’s a reasonable statement. I sure take you seriously now!
NewsBusters: PBS Ombudsman Bizarrely Claims Pitting Dick Armey vs. Arianna Huffington is Right vs. Center

Just what they need to have…a tea party. I could think of much better things to have rather than a tea party.
