This week on CounterSpin: When media talk about nuclear weapons, their attention is usually focused on so-called rogue states like Iran or North Korea. Perhaps that's why so little media attention was paid to last month's negotiations over the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. John Burroughs of the Lawyers' Committee on Nuclear Policy will fill us in on what was happening, and what the press made of it.

Also on the program: the confirmation of the identity of Deep Throat, the secret source who helped the Washington Post uncover the Watergate scandal, has led to a media stroll down memory lane. But how reliable is media's picture of that time and the lessons it supposedly left for US journalism? We'll talk with Norman Solomon, columnist and author of among other titles, "War Made Easy: How Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death."
