But last week when Wolf Blitzer and CNN had that debate, the CNN/Tea Party Express debate, and Wolf sat there and called them his partners–I just thought, this was amazing, because would you ever see the CNN nurses union debate or the CNN teachers union debate? Because I think there are a few more teachers and nurses in this country than there are members of the Tea Party.
But we’ll never see that in the mainstream media. And liberal organizations which have many more members just don’t get the attention. A thousand people arrested in front of the White House a couple of weeks ago on the tar sands environmental issue — hardly any coverage of this.
Can you imagine if 1,000 Tea Party members had been arrested in front of the White House? It would be at the top of every news story.
People are down on Wall Street right now, holding a sit-in and a camp- in down there–virtually no news about this protest.
This goes on with liberals and the left all of the time, and it gets ignored. And, fortunately, there are shows like yours and others who aren’t ignoring it. It doesn’t mean it isn’t happening, and it will continue to happen.
Since they are the root cause of America being misinformed on…well…everything-
Maybe it’s time for protests against corporate-media-lies to be held right outside the doors of corporate media’s headquarters?
That’d be funny to watch them pretend large protests are not happening right outside their doors, protesting their ceaseless lies.

Re: protesting Corp headqrtrs: cops do not allow such protests anymore.. They tell you to go to a certain designated area.. And if the TV cameras don’t follow you, might as well just call it a private picnic.
The paradigm is shifting from conservative versus liberal to corporations versus democracy.
I think what Michael is denying is the power of the tea party.He says there are more nurses.In every American is the tea party.They may not be members,but the ideals are America at its core.To marginalize the tea party ideals to a special interest group may be his hope.But the reality is we have reacquainted America with her constitution first ,and foremost.The tea party has stopped Obamas socialist march in it’s tracks.It is getting a lot of respect.I think it deserves it.
Wow! Who knew? Inside of every hard-core, working and middle-class nurse, fireman, and teacher is a right-wing, ignorant, nutzoid Bagger who can’t wait to get down on their knees and kiss the asses of the Coprporate sociopaths, the Kochs, and greedy assholes like “Big” Dick Armey.
How about a few of these protesters (of appropriate demean) go topless!! That sure would grab attention. Or what about turning into a flash dance/protest demo.
Let me just interject – I, for one, will never, ever, ever call the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center (or whichever building it is) the Koch Center. No way, no how. I’m really sorry they even accepted his money. What if the Koches decided to dictate what should or shouldn’t be shown. NO KOCH THEATER AT LINCOLN CENTER. I don’t care what they call it – it’s a disgrace.
I liked Kathleen’s suggestion, but Bobbler’s point is devastating. Have any attempts been made, say in NYC, to change the rules for peaceful protests/demonstrations?
