The truth is, that the race factor in America is not an overwhelming problem anymore. Mr. Obama won two elections…. “Talking Points” believes that minority Americans do—do have a much tougher time succeeding in the marketplace generally speaking than affluent whites, for example. But it all comes down to something that is accessible in America: education and personal responsibility. Black Americans should understand that if they study and work hard, they will likely succeed in this country. And that’s the message about race that all good and honest people should be promoting.
—Bill O’Reilly (O’Reilly Factor, 1/20/14)

You can’t make this shit up.
But O’Reilly can.
To share that quote without comment could be misunderstood as an endorsement. Personally I think he’s dreaming, and his views certainly don’t deserve any more publicity.
Ah, but when your on top, trickling down on the masses, the view always look better then the reverse P.O.V.
But then Bill has always been a master of Doublethink.
It also sounds bad when Barack Obama pushes the same garbage:

Wow, Bill: Spoken like the privileged white man you are.
It used to be “be responsible and pull yourself up with your own bootstraps.” Never mind that the people receiving the admonition had no boots (or shoes for that matter).
Recent college grads studied and worked hard; now jobs to climb to financial success have disappeared. To deal with racial prejudice, in addition, makes a terrible situation worse. O’Reilly’s blind generalizations propagate ignorance and mistrust.
The sad reality is that everyone can’t succeed at once. Not in this day and time. You would think because our brand of capitalism presupposes losers, that the right would be more accepting of food stamp expansion, unemployment extensions, and a higher minimum wage for those doing the hardest of work. But, they don’t. Their philosophies are totally unbalanced.
The most truthful of maxims is of my own creation, i.e. that while our brand of capitalist economics are cyclical, human needs are constant. The R faction needs to temper its policies accordingly.
