This week on FAIR TV: Pundits were mad about the news that Barack Obama was backing away from “chained CPI” Social Security cuts. An announcement about troop cuts caused some reporters to panic. And Arizona’s discriminatory SB 1062 is given the “some say” media treatment.

Chained CPI…that sounds like slavery right there. What a horrible name and concept.
CHAINED— that leads to some sad images. I am wondering about that since so many people seem to have retired early and lost money. by doing that, but with high unemployment what are all age groups to do?
Then we hear that in the Reagan 80s taxes were cut on corporations to grow the economy, which of course has had 30 + years to show growth, but all it shows is ———-that plan is a dud. Wages didn’t rise.
So during the 60s when the seniors started working, a family could live on 1 income, but now, no 1 can live on most incomes. That certainly seems that what the 60s people made in income has not kept pace with inflation, and now the graduating classes have debts based on 1% prices, but with poor people wages. More money should go to wages and they really need to raise the amounts for the seniors, to keep pace with money earned from the 60s and not cut them at all..
Chained, yes, they are all chained and the shackle line seems to be growing. Chained CPI just sounds so crazy mean and society killing; not at all what a person would expect from a democratic republic..
