The corporate media reaction to Occupy Wall Street started out where you’d expect. Coverage was minimal and what there was often amounted to back-of-the-hand dismissals of a movement that can’t even get its bullet points together. Then things started to shift: Maybe it was the arrests on the Brooklyn Bridge, or maybe it was just the persistence of the activists that wore down media’s usual disinterest in progressive activism.
