We need to call money-chasing racists like those at Fox News what the Bible calls them: DEVIL-WORSHIPPING REPROBATES.
How so? The reprobate part should be clear, but why “devil-worshipping”? Isn’t that a bit strong?
It says twice in the NT that greedy people are idolaters and idolaters worship a mean, ugly, distorted image of God that they created themselves. That image is, in fact, created by Satan and is an image of himself. In fact, anthropologically, our image of Satan comes from Baal, a god that demanded babies be burned alive in sacrifice to himself. These kind love to burn babies alive, like the False Prophet in Revelation, by calling down fire from heaven.
Yes, we are starkly confronted by evil in the world. Surprise, surprise. Sometimes we personify it by calling it the Devil. We can’t prove that evil exists, we can only perceive the effects of it. But we are sometimes starkly confronted by good in the world. Duh. Sometimes we call it God. Likewise, we can’t prove that good exists, we can only perceive the effects of it. After many years of pondering, I have come to at tentative conclusion, that it is the purpose of evil to kill the good, and the purpose of good to be killed by the evil, but then rise from the dead in like proportion. Kind of like Tom Joad, homosexuals, or poor folk like Eric Garner.
