It sounded like it, but it was just Bill O’Reilly channeling Beck’s Soros/MoveOn/Big Labor paranoia, minus the chalkboard:
On Wednesday in New York City, there was another far-left demonstration as a bunch of people marched on Wall Street. Why? We aren’t exactly sure.
What we do know is that these folks are zealots who are being organized by some very interesting people. Does the name MoveOn.org mean anything to you? How about George Soros? Well, for the first time, MoveOn, funded in part by Soros, has openly allied itself with the protesters.
In addition, we have some unions in the mix: the United Auto Workers, the United Federation of Teachers and, of course, the always reliable SEIU. Of course, not all workers in those unions support bringing down capitalism. They don’t. But their leadership is certainly sympathetic to the demonstrators.
But, again, what do these people want?
The common thread seems to be “income equality.” Groups like the Working Families Party and the Strong Economy for All Coalition are basically socialistic outfits. They want the government to take money away from the affluent and give it to them, a nice deal if you can get it. And you can get it in places like Cuba and Zimbabwe.
The big money behind these protesters, Soros, he doesn’t want socialism. Soros is the biggest capitalist on the planet. He wants power and these groups are using the far-left zealots to try to achieve that.
In case your tinfoil hat is not getting good reception, O’Reilly’s point is that MoveOn endorsed Occupy Wall Street two weeks after it started, and George Soros contributed to MoveOn in 2003-04, and therefore Soros is “the big money behind these protesters.”
Maybe the chalkboard would help.

LMFAO Glenn Beck is a tool
Judging from history, if MoveOn, Soros and much of union “leadership” were indeed the forces behind this movement, bastards like Beck and O’Reilly wouldn’t have much to worry about, would they?
This may not be a revolution, but it’s not a Democratic PAC, either.
And we have to work to ensure it never becomes one.
It’s already becoming one when the unions get involved and “support” any cause The democrats are taking over your movment
Wouldn’t make any difference if the false prophet was back or not. Billo, the Clown, is playing the lies/hate card just fine, thank you.
Has Bill OReilly ever really had a real job where he worked with his hands on an hourly wage? Besides mowing lawns when a kid, I mean. Can you picture Rush mowing a lawn? Or Beck. Now there’s a frightful thought!
O’Reilly is just despicable. He doesn’t get it and he never will. As Thatcher said, “There is no such thing as society, there is only the extended capitolist order”, or in dumbed down, American, right-wing Republican language- “I got mine so go f*** yourself”.
A News Guy walks into a reading of War and Peace while page 756 is being read, asks, then demands, â┚¬Ã…“What is this book about?â┚¬”Âand keep it to a 15 second sound bite if you expect us News Guys to be able to use it.â┚¬Ã‚Â
News Guys, short form brains lost in a long form world, poking their heads up after a few decades long dream, disoriented by the confrontation of their own fantasy world with other lives lived, unexpectedly, in their own blind spots; unable to find the meaning of a world they have been strangers to for too long, trying to get access to what seems to be a secret kept from them, like some failing student expecting to be tutored by real people about living in a world they didn’t know existed until three weeks ago, so as to pass tomorrow’s final exam.
As if 756 pages of life could be summed up in a 15 second sound bite.
Nice, Glenn. Expect a certain troll to appear very soon to attempt a rationalizing. a bad move at making the insane seem sane, the stupid seem normal, the very bad the quite good. Give the chump no quarter, no relief. Expect a rousing defense of the imbecile O’Reilly, a man so colosally stupid that the merely stupid shrink away in embarassment.
Both parties (The Republicrats) are in the same corporate camp. Obama had all the power, both houses, and the will of the people (regular americans) to back his promises but he had already sold his soul to the corporate fascists. The single largest contributor to his campaign was Godman Sachs! Honestly, who do you think he was allied with from the get go? I noted that and I voted for Nader. He lied period. He upholds and has furthered ALL the policies of Military Industrial Complex along with the majority of both parties. His isn’t supporting the unions, not really, or this new movement of the people, AND He will call out the military in a heart beat if any public action ever becomes a serious threat. We will all be labeled as…”Terrorists.” The corporate one percent have absolute control of our government and they mean to fight to keep it, literally, I wonder if our military will fire on it’s own? Not to worry, though the robots (drones) have no loyalties.
Pam has nailed it. O’Reilly will see OWS as a conspiracy because he sees everything as a conspiracy — environmental concerns, evolution, whatever. Obama is a co-opted, utterly incompetent leader, and prominent liberals have yet to acknowledge — or even comprehend — the damage he is doing. By now they should be supporting a strong a third-party candidate for President with rapidly growing support. Where is he or she? What has happened to us?
Pam refers to “corporate fascists.” The media now regard references to fascists as off limits. It’s okay to discuss what happened in the U.S. in the 1930s, but not what happened in Germany and Italy. We must not suggest that the obstructionism (ie. treason) of many Republican members of congress today resembles in any way the Weimar Republic’s collapse in 1933, when a Nazi majority ignored the laws of the land without repealing them. Shame on you, Pam, for being unfair to our corporate leaders.
I still think this protest could become “something”that makes sense. It may not of started that way.It may not be that way now.But the people are there due to plain old fashioned anger.Anger at how screwed up things are.If somebody with a bit of political savvy can put together some sound reasoning ….the folks in the street may yet hold it up as their battle flag.Im kind of surprised it hasn’t happened yet.
I was in new York this weekend. It still seems to be a lot of privileged white college types ,crying about a world they thought they were owed . Now they find the real world is not all that impressed with their degrees. It Is not banging down their doors offering jobs. How are they going to pay off their debts?Move out of mom and dads house?I met one young guy who said he was there to “meet girls”.He seemed to be the only one who had a real clue what he was doing there.
As for Bill O…..astute, and on the mark as always
