Anyone who doubts the extent of pressure on media outlets when it comes to covering Israel should pick up the New York Times.
In yesterday’s Times (3/8/12), we saw this correction:
Because of an editing error, an article on Wednesday about a large lobbying effort on Capitol Hill Tuesday by delegates to the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee referred incorrectly to the organization, known as AIPAC. It is a pro-Israel lobbying group that works in the United States to advance Israel’s interests. It does not work directly for the state of Israel or its government.
This strange correction didn’t go unnoticed, but it’s still kind of puzzling–in large part because readers might not be able to figure out what the story said that warranted a correction. The offending reference seems to have been calling AIPAC an “Israel lobbying group.” AIPAC is a powerful lobbying organization that just held its massive annual conference, which as usual was followed by a day of congressional lobbying about Israel. The Times seems to want to let readers know that AIPAC is not officially part of the Israeli government. Given that the piece talks about American citizens visiting members of Congress, it’s unlikely that many people would be confused.
The next day (3/9/12), the Times issued another correction:
A picture caption on Thursday with an article about the increasing marginalization being felt by Palestinians in the West Bank referred incompletely to the action of the Israeli soldiers shown. While the soldiers, whose activity was not recounted in the article, were indeed firing rifles at stone throwers in the West Bank town of Al Ram last month, the rifles contained rubber bullets.
The photo in question, which appeared on the front page, was this one (courtesy Mondoweiss):

The caption read, “Israeli soldiers fired at Palestinian stone throwers in the West Bank town of Al Ram, near East Jerusalem, last month.”
So the caption was “incomplete” because it failed to note that the soldiers were firing “rubber” bullets. (“Rubber bullets” are actually steel with a thin coating of rubber; dozens of Palestinians have died from being shot with them.)
This reminds me of a piece Seth Ackerman wrote (Extra!, 3-4/01) about the pressure campaigns on media outlets to tilt coverage in Israel’s favor:
To a notable degree, anti-Palestinian media criticism consists of elliptical reasoning and baffling non-sequiturs, not to mention clumsiness with facts. The tone of much of the criticism is illustrated by a Jerusalem Post letter to the editor (12/19/00) that complained that CNN correspondents “constantly refer to innocuous ‘stone-throwing’ by Palestinian kids, instead of calling them what they really are: rocks.”
Whoever complained about the failure to identify the bullets as being rubber should have also pointed out the flagrant bias in referring to Palestinians throwing “stones” instead of rocks.
UPDATE: Typo corrected.

The great news on sideline of the AIPAC conference. Both Peres and Bibi asked Obama to use ‘presidential pardon’ for the convicted American spy Jonathan Pollard.
http://rehmat1.wordpress.com/2012/03/06/release-pollard-and-israel-wont-push-for-war-on-iran/
Remember the USS Liberty and throw Israel out with the trash.
Instead of throwing Israel out we should throw AIPAC out with the trash and send that Zionist trash to be buried by the real Jews in Israel who do not support their Hawkish government.
In the USA we need to eliminate the influence of this group of wealthy Zionist who have purchased our government through the campaign finance system by Electing an entirely new Congress of independence whose first order of business is to enact Public financing of political campaigns with absolutely no private money allowed.
Then free the news & current events from the influence of sponsors, foreign & domestic governments. Also legislate tat all infomercials must be factually verified, eliminating the AIPAC & other PAC favorite mechanism to keep Legislators in line fear of attack ads & campaign founds going to defeat them. If it is the truth than the people may have a right to know but attack ads meant to destroy someone though false accusation are not.
It i time to stop AIPAC with its allegiance to Israel rather than the USA from using their money to impose Israels will on USA policy. It is the regional aggressor who would like nothing better to than to have a region wide war, at our expense using our taxes & military in addition to NATO to enlarge its territory to include the entire Middle East and continue it’s genocide of the Palestinian people, and all Arabs from lands it occupies or wishes to occupy. The Palestinians are not the only ones being held in an open air prison the Syrian of the Golan Heights are as well.
There is no reason why the majority of Americans have to put up with our legislators & government working on behalf of Israel. Israel’s colonial aspirations are not in the USA’s best interests. We owe Israel nothing!! If we do than it is time to tell the American people exactly why we are paying secret reparations to Israel? What did our wealthy 1% do that we are paying for? Maybe its time these criminals paid for their own crimes instead of us paying forever with the lives of our children so they can live comfortable in the castles collecting all the wealth that belong to the people of the USA.
No more unconditional support of anyone especially not the regional bully who would be a much better neighbor if we made them face the consequences of their actions, They demanded prosecution of those who mistreated them in WW2 t is time they face the consequences of their action and be made to comply with all UNSC resolution or face sanctions & regime change as Saddam did. Their treatment of the Palestinians & Arabs is far worse & 55yrs longer than what was done to them it time for it to stop.
It time for a President to take another stand in support of the people regardless of how the Zionist feel about it.
Bibi is obviously pressuring Obama during an election campaign to support their miltarism in the mideast exactly as he did with Bush during the 2008 campaign …
America should not let an ally or an enemy intimidate them into military action …America should go back to the role as honest broker in the middle east and that may require down=playing a dishonest Israel, especially Bibi, who recently came to the White House announcing additional settlements after the U.S. pleaded with him and his nation to abide by the United Nations directive on settlements and stop building them outside of Israel borders.
It is also true that Israel has been crying “wolf” about Iranian nuclear capability for at least 20 years and it is time to tell the little boy to go back to his sheep.
Calling AIPAC an American Lobby is indeed confusing. AIPAC has enviegled itself into lobbying by saying it is lobbying for American Jews when it is actually lobbying for Israel. We have rules about foreign agents lobbying Congress, so some fancy footwork was done to convince people that AIPAC actually isn’t an Israeli Lobby when, for all intents and purposes, it is. It doesn’t help that 13 US Senators and 27 Members of the House of Representatives have dual citizenship with Israel and the USA. This makes me extremely uncomfortable. I know it’s legal, however, along with several other public servants who are also dual citizens with Israel, there has to be a conflict of interest. There was a time when this would have been treason, but we’ve civilized those laws and I understand that today it isn’t treasonous.
Still, it makes me very, very uncomforable given the large amount of money and goods we give to Israel every year. I have to wonder if we would be so generous if 1) so many of our congressmen and women had only US citizenship and 2) if AIPAC did not threaten to ruin them if they voted otherwise.
I sense a scuffle belowdecks at the Times.
Enough of Israel’s annoying, obnoxious behavior. (etymologists: see Latin obnoxious for dependency)
Time for Israel to make its way on its own without U.S. tax dollars paying for their single payer health care. What makes them so special anyway?
If they can’t stand the heat in the Middle East let them into the U.S. where they have never been a persecuted minority, relative to the Blacks, Polish, Irish, Germans, American Indians, and more.
The damn Brits should never have given what wasn’t theirs to give.
Isn’t AIPAC more like our ” corporate persons “of America, “full of sound and fury and signifying nothing” for the average American citizen? I read other articles. about how many problems that Israeli citizens are having in terms of jobs, housing, well everything Americans are having trouble with too. 450,00 Israelis protesting in Tel Aviv showed a lot of unhappy people who need help. Does AIPAC help the Israeli citizens or just the corporate American Israelis?
It was also so sad to me when Congress was on a break, that so many went on a gratis visit to Israel when so many Americans at home needed help. Actually, with what’s going on in Haiti, I’d rather send the foreign aid money there, because so many are dying from cholera and it’s been 2 years since that earthquake ; what has happened for them? I’d rather give foreign aid to people who actually need it.
“America should go back to the role as honest broker in the middle east.” The US has never been, and never will be an honest broker in the Middle East. Perhaps a country like Brazil could fill that role. The US cannot, and shouldn’t try. But it will never voluntarily give up that control. Empires never do.
In the wake of disaster, the US sent troops to Haiti. Cuba sent doctors. That’s why our liberal president is keeping up sanctions imposed by his conservative predecessor, and why most of our fellow citizens reflexively hate them so much.
Is a “think coating of rubber” thick, or thin?
Ten posts. Not one understands who mourned with us on 911 ,and who partied in the streets. Not one understands the deep ties, and friendships between israel and the united states. Not one of you has a clue what the hell you are talking about. You use the word zionist more than you do arab terrorists.I swear in your heart of hearts I bet some of you believe 911 was deserved. If israel got nuked the same ones ,would feel it is her just desserts.Clueless bastards the whole lot of you.
Is this the same fact-free michael e who often admonishes his detractors to keep a civil tongue in their heads?
Racist anti-Arab troll is anti-Arab trolling.
Hey Mike – Bush and Cheney think we deserved 911. Why else would they let it happen when they knew in advance?
Let’s disarm israel first – then Iran.
Huh, buddy.
Dearest Michael, even honest CIA analysts attributed 911 to “blowback” from US misbehavior (e.g. imperialism) in the Middle East and South Asia. Israel is a colonial state established by throwing out indigenous people, and occupied by Europeans (albeit mostly Jews) with an apartheid system of governance based on the fundamentally religious idealogy of Zionism. Need I say more? If everyone here is so misguided then why do you continue camping out here? Shouldn’t you be on Rush Limbaugh’s blog?
Last week, Israel’s prime minister, spook-terrorist Benji Netanyahu (Bibi), dedicated his entire speech at the Israel Lobby Conference 2012 in Washington DC against the Islamic Republic. He did not mention any other anti-Israel neighbors, Syria or Palestine, not even once. Bibi used Holocaust-Auschwitz-Nazis analogy to fool American public and urged Obama to attack Iran immediately. Watch AIPAC speech spoof from Bibi’s official Facebook page below.
http://rehmat1.wordpress.com/2012/03/10/israeli-leaders-slam-bibi-for-iran-auschwitz-analogy/
And those soldiers are also firing without bothering to aim at all accurately. (The guns would be at their shoulders if they cared about where they were shooting those rubber coated metal bullets.)
michael e. :)
I think that a lot of people in the world mourned all the people that died in NYC. There were people of all races, nationalities and religions working in those towers. You write as if israel was the only one to mourn, and I don’t think that’s true.
I also think that since 2008, and the imploding financial world, that more people are inclined to think of some of those in the banks and on Wall St., as the actual terrorists. Look at the people in Greece! Why should investors and their debt be more important than human life? The Greeks aren’t being droned…yet, but rather derivative BOMBED!
Then too, I think that by this time, many more people of the world are starting to look at their own governments and wonderfing, “Are you with us or against us?” Does the state exist for people, or do people exist for the state? If the latter is true, then human beings have been dehumanized world wide!
In ancient Greece, the failed leaders were ostracized. but now, that fate seems to fall on the People!
By the way, once the streets of Tehran were full of mourners holding candlelight vigils. The event? 9/11. You betcha; and, the major media dare not mention that fact now. Our US bellicosity squandered what good will that inititative engendered.
A confession. I did it: called the Times to complain that I’d like to know whether those bullets were rubber or regular. There IS a difference, and, though both kill people I’d rather take my chance and be shot by rubber over metal. Of course, neither would be the choice of any rational person, but what’s rational in the middle east or the middle east in America? The Times tries to be as egalitarian as it can, while supporting Israel as much as it can. I too, suspect behind the scenes changes at the top. But the press covers itself not. all the more reason for FAIR, which has its prejudices too. Seems to me the press has a responsibility to tell us for instance, why Bob Herbert and Frank Rich left the Times. Meanwhile, Aipac = American Israel Political Action Committee. Israel is a different country than America, which is to say, not the US of A, i.e. a foreign country. In my opinion, as a christian derived atheist, (thank goddess), we must support Israel but not in the way we do. If Aipac didn’t buy congress and both political parties, we could pressure Israel to make peace, by, say, cutting aid we can’t afford to give them anyway, which would be in its interest, our interest, and the poor Palestinians’ interest. Israel MUST exist because of anti semitism everywhere in the world. But we do them no favor, nor ourselves, supporting them no matter what, while they delegitimize themselves and U.S. How to do the research into how much money Aipac pays per congressman or woman, political party? Publish that, and now we’d be talking. Somewhere a little behind the NRA, I’d guess. The press isn’t doing the work for us. Some tech genius out there find out. As for stones or rocks, I give up. Both hurt.
The Israel lobby groups are blaming Palestinian Christians for trying to switch some of hardcore Christian Zionist leader from Israel to Palestinians.
The Bethlehem Bible College held its second international â┚¬Ã‹Å“Christ at the Checkpointâ┚¬Ã‹Å“ conference in Bethlehem from March 5-9, 2012. The conference provided a forum for local and international Christians to examine the current situation in the Holy Land in light of biblical texts and principles and a context for Christians who take the Bible seriously to prayerfully seek a proper awareness of issues of peace, justice, and reconciliation.
The B’nai B’rith World Center in Jerusalem has condemned the conference for seeking to move Christian support from Israel to Palestinian while demonizing and delegitimizing the Zionist entity and the its narrative of Jewish history.
The leaders of American Messianic Jewish community have also slammed the 600 Zionist Christians from around the world who participated in the conference.
http://rehmat1.wordpress.com/2012/03/11/zionists-attend-pro-palestine-christian-conference/
Boots, thank you, the USS Liberty thanks you too, for remembering the ship where many servicemen died, that Israel bombed wanting to blame it on Egypt so the US would fight against their enemies Syria and Egypt, in which Israel actually initiated the war with in 1967.
heraldmage, thank you, you are spot on at every count in your argument against the Zionists. Not all Jews are Zionists, just ask those at the JVP, IJAN, APN, the Rabbis at Naturei Karta, they will tell you that Zionists are not anything but aggressive warmongers thirsty for their own power and uses the world sympathy for the Holocaust for their own ends. Good point about the Golan Heights, as we forget about it since Gaza is being screwed so often. Have you seen the map showing Greater Israel that shows from the Mediterranean Sea to halfway across Iraq and Saudi Arabia as the borders? Israel does not want a two state solution, they want to continue to ethnically cleanse Palestine, making it so hard for whomever is left to get frustrated and just leave. Watch this disgusting video of Obama sucking Israeli ass. Obama says all the right dogwhistles and the right phrases, however since debunked like the ‘wipe Israel off the map’ nonsense which Ahmadinejad never said. The video’s called, America and Israel: An Unbreakable Bond. Just have a bucket handy, you may want to throw up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izUkZpTft2w
Matt Love, you are so right, the US has never been an honest broker, just a partner of the US/Israeli dictates that wants to make the Palestinians agree with their mandates, while never listening to them. And then they are surprised when the Palestinians won’t agree to their forced on them demands. Great point about US sending troops while Cuba sent doctors. The US military is far too powerful and now local law enforcement is being trained by them, while defense contractors are drooling over the marketing of military goodies sold to even small towns. Now when a warrant is issued no less than a dozen paramilitary dressed cops show up with full riot gear and assault rifles along with shock grenades, casting their shock and awe on the poor hapless neighbors and perpetrators(victims) they are after. And oftentimes they get the addresses wrong, and never apologise for the error; some have even killed innocents in the process. No longer are there peace officers, but models patterned after soldiers who are taught to kill the enemy, not play patty cake with them. Citizens have taken on the role of the enemy which must be vanquished, hell, even school kids are getting tased(or peppersprayed, and contrary to Laura Ingraham it is not just a food product, hell, that shit burns and some have died from it, like a Palestinian women protester who with fellow Jews and Palestinians were at the security wall non-violently protesting) or hand cuffed for small offences by these assholes.
Michael e, as always you are completely wrong and so narrow minded, black and white is all you see. Go
Suck and egg.
gloriana casey, thank you for telling the truth; as worldwide, many mourned, not just Israel.
Iran on three separate occasions after 9/11 reached out to the US wanting to establish peace talks and to try to clear up misunderstandings with the US, but Bush and the US rebuffed them and right now it is so wrong for the MSM to get it so incorrect about Iran’s nuclear program. Even in the American Prospect there is an article titled “How to Contain a Nuclear Iran,” by Suzanne Maloney, with the same style phrase of Iran not wanting to stop its nuclear weapons program(which they do not even have and have said so time and time again they are not looking to get a bomb). From the article:”These would be major achievements were it not for the obvious discrepancy: Washington has not managed to halt Tehran’s dogged march toward a nuclear-weapons capability.” If I’m reading something wrong here, someone, please tell me. In the mean time go to wideasleepinamerica.com for a rundown since 1984 of the fearmongering threats by Israel and the US MSM of an Iran about to have a nuclear bomb. It is amazing really how they can get it so wrong, and when they do, who suffers? The American public, that’s who, since who has the time to vet every story or headline one sees or hears in the media and work 40 and more hours per week?
Anyway here are three instances Iran reached out to the US, and the US turned their back.
“Flynt L. Leverett, now with Brookings and before a State Department and CIA official, listed three initiatives that were rejected.
Right after the Sept. 11 attacks, Iran offered to help Washington overthrow the Taliban. The U.S. declined the offer.
Second, in the spring of 2003, top Iranian officials sent the White House a detailed proposal for comprehensive negotiations to resolve questions regarding its weapons programs, relations with Hezbollah and Hamas and a Palestinian peace agreement with Israel. This proposal was rebuffed and ignored.
Third, in October 2003, European officials secured an agreement from Iran to suspend Iranian uranium enrichment and to pursue talks that Mr. Leverett said “might lead to an economic, nuclear and strategic deal.” The Bush administration “refused to join the European initiative, ensuring that the talks failed,” he added.”
A few weeks ago, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Iran was developing a capability for making nuclear weapons someday but was not yet building a bomb. So why is the Obama Administration talking about a western boycott of Iran’s oil exports, so crucial to its faltering, sanctions-ridden economy? Is this latest sanction designed to squeeze Iranian civilians and lead to the overthrow of the regime? Arguably it may backfire and produce more support for the government, because these sanctions are hurting Iranian citizens, just as the Iraqi sanctions ended up killing an estimated 500,000 kids under the age of six. Iran is not the bogeyman Israeli and US Neocons wish them to be, as they have a military that is 1/40th the size of the US one, yet on all sides of Iran there is a US presence, not to mention drones in the skies. While I know Iran has some bad rules over there and its prez is no sweetheart, they also need to be viewed for what they are, a sovereign nation just like the US and countries in the Middle East, and there is no justification for attacking them, it would be against International law, as the US invasion of Iraq was. Iran is member of the IAEA and thus inspections happen all the time if necessary, and Iran has signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty which Israel REFUSES to do. ‘Nuff said.
One more thing about The American Prospect’s article by Suzanne Maloney, called “How to Contain a Nuclear Iran.” She’s…I don’t want to say full of shit, but yes, sometimes she is. And what crossed my mind was “How Do US Citizens Contain a Hegemonomaniacal USA? With US military bases all over the world and US interests allowing dictators that harm their own people and touting Democracy when it is convenient and in their favor and rejecting the duly elected gov’t(Palestinians electing Hamas)in countries they have a stake in(the US CIA overthrew the Democratic gov’t duly elected by the people in Iran in the early 1950s, and installed the dictator, The Shah of Iran, who hurt his people over the next 27 years)and just last week the House passed the Trespass Act HR 347 which shuts down movements like Occupy Wall Street if they are in gov’t buildings and are disruptive(how the hell else do you get politicians attention if not by disruption?)and there were only 3 Nay votes, and last month the Senate version passed overwhelmingly by Bipartisan agreement. Holy MotherF**kin’ horses**t, Democrats, Progressives where in the hell have you gone that you would agree to this?Reading the bill it just shows me that these Congresspresons want to not be bothered by the rabblerousers(you know the people who elected their ass)and so to protect themselves and to keep from being held accountable, they pass the Trespass Act which restricts movement in the gov’t buildings and grounds and at political events and keeps people, the ones exercising the 1st Amendment, these protesters, away from those being protested and sequesters them blocks or even miles away.
So, with the military Mission Act, began the slow death march of our rights, and proceeding with The Patriot Act which was renewed without a whimper from Democrats, and with added pronouncements of squelching citizens rights even more, then on New Years Eve 2011, with no fanfare while everyone was partying, the President of the new Fascist States of America signed the bill NDAA and later adding…oh…I’m going to be the good guy and not even accentuate the parts you guys dislike and are protesting about(yes, but what about the guy after you, you ignorant mooncalf, you just signed into law and codified outright murder of any citizen at the whim of one man, and wasn’t there a protest in US history about the abusive power of the king who would proclaim which enemies he disliked and wanted killed and had his wishes carried out, there was much protesting about that by some rabblerouser citizens, remember, they kinda like started a revolution to throw that bastard king the F**K out of power??).
Please make note of the last two sentences of this 1st Amendment:
“Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The Trespass Act restricts the ability to assemble and petition redress of gov’t grievances and is far worse than any city that wants to make you get a permit to be in public and to be disgruntled about the gov’t on the city’s terms, not yours, what kind of damn protest is that? Should we all just make an appointment to show up on schedule according to the whims of the city gov’t or city council?F**K that, protesting is supposed to be a pain in the ass for politicians and gov’t officials, otherwise it would not be a protest. If Susan B Anthony or any of the Founding Fathers just sat around being quiet and orderly would anything have gotten done? NO, they had to be unruly and moblike and upset the apple carts of power, which is why many of the leaders were afraid of “the democracy” those who would be like those in the French Revolution, ready to cut off some heads if need be and that was what they feared. Maybe we should show polticians we’re willing to cut off a few heads to get them to listen, that’s all it’d take is one head to get lopped off before they’d either listen or make laws to stop us….oh…wait…they kinda did that with HR 347 didn’t they, someone’s head must have symbolically been cut off, like someone on Wall street close to a politician. ‘Nuff said.
Nice posts by all, except of course by our troll, with his usual grovelling before the Man, before the Received Wisdom, before all that is violent and stupid and bad. All the other posters here understand that one must criticize the wrongs evident in our rulers; it’s the purest form of democracy. Trolls think one must be a suck-up or a toady, and rely on one’s deep ignorance to make one’s way in a democracy.
Also, why does michael e think that if Israel got nuked, people who think 911 was deserved would feel that Just Desserts shops were targeted? They don’t even have any Just Desserts shops.
//”Our US bellicosity squandered what good will that initiative engendered.”//
Correction: “The Bush administration’s bellicosity squandered…”
Suzanne Malloney, a former CIA analyst on Mideast – is currently a senior fellow at the Zionist/Jewish think tank, the ‘Saban Center for Middle East Policy’ at the Brookings Institution. In her very lengthy article, played a cunning game to fool her readers by starting with “Regime change in Iran is a pipe dream”. However, one has to read the later part of the article to understand her Israeli agenda – to neutralize Iran’s civilian nuclear program in order to maintain Israel’s position as the ‘sole regional bully’.
http://rehmat1.wordpress.com/2012/03/12/brookings-regime-change-in-iran-is-a-pipe-dream/
I would like Fair to do an article called/////” Israel ,the world hopes you find peace”.
No writing is necessary.Just that simple title.A title that you could place any countries name in- and you would imagine not a soul could argue that sentiment. Not a soul except every blogger on FAIR.The gnashing of teeth, and banging of spears would begin the minute that word…that word ISRAEL is spoken.Without the slightest intimidation you would turn like mad dogs to the attack. We have seen this all before. From intelligent educated people.Yes history. We have seen this all before
Michael – The issue isn’t whether Israel wants peace or the world hopes it will. The issue is that Israel may very well want peace once it has acquired all the land it believes it should have. It has clearly demonstrated that it does not want peace with the Palestinians or the Lebonese or the Syrians or even the Egyptians or Jordanians. It should be abundantly clear to everyone, if you look at the BEHAVIOR, not listen to the rhetoric, that Israel really doesn’t want peace. Indeed, the entire world wishes they would have peace, but is becoming more and more aware that in order to have peace, one must really, really want it not only for themselves but for others as well.
If you read the Old Testament, you will soon realize that someone was always fighting someone else. One group seems to always be involved and always win. Granted, the books were written by the winners. When you’re done with the Jewish Bible, try reading Ilan Pappe’s “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine.” Then you, like so many of us, can weep for Israel and the Middle East.
A more accurate title would be “Israel: the world hopes you find peace, so stop waging war.”
Liz I have been to Israel. It is a spit of land. You can fly across this country in 5-6 hours. You can fly across Israel in minutes. The only land they have “acquired” beyond the UN charter is due to numerous invasions and incursions where enough became enough. It is now a security zone.A buffer zone.To say they dont want peace with the countries named is just not true.Better said… they will not allow themselves to be driven into the sea as a precursor to peace.
You seem to think Arab war against the Jews as a people began with the creation of Israel with the UN charter. That that affront started all this. That is incorrect.During WW2 the arabs worked hand and glove with the Nazis, in a common goal toward their(the jews) annihilation. And long before that even.
And the greatest falsehood you stated is that the entire world wants peace in Israel.Look at the UN.It might not be overstating to say half of them would be happy with her complete eradication.
No Israel will look to herself to secure the right to exist for her people. If you strike out at her…she will strike back many times what she received. This at least the Arab factions that want her dead respect. This they understand. This will keep the knife from the throat of Jewish men woman and children.
Today in Israel more palestinians live(millions)among their Jewish brothers an sisters in general peace than ever before. At the time of Israel’s founding, look at how many lived there.Scattered tribes and nomadic passings.87 percent of their land was in ARAB countries.Never to be returned or even considered returned.yet the small spit of land that is Israel.A desert were few lived is the conductor to the violence? No just a jew within reach for the easy slaughter.A chicken to have its neck rung. Some chicken………Some neck!
Stones kill too…… just to mention. The Arab Palestinians vowed to clear Palestine out of the Jewish Palestinians. As you know, Abu Abbas put 3 preconditions for resuming talks with the Israelis: Full withdrawal to 49′ borders; Accepting the “right of return” principal and Israeli give up for Arab recognition as Israel as a Jewish national state or as the Jewish Palestinian state(Israel already recognized to Palestinian state to come as an Arab Palestinian state). Abu Abbas is too weak. Hamas touch his back and threaten to hit him on ballots. There is no real Arab partner for peace now, and as we see, Israel can wait for longer.

Dearest Freespirit,
I’m with Michael, and you obviously have no clue what you’re talking about when you say and I quote,”Israel is a colonial state established by throwing out indigenous people.” Now I ask, how is it that the palestinians can be indigenous to the land of Israel when in fact Israel has ancient architectural stonework found in Israel itself (I.E. the western wall for one found in Jerusalem, the Magen David which is a carving of a star of David found in stones in Israel, the Synagogue of Chorazin near the Sea of Galilee, and many other things that I’m sure you can find just as well if you just put your mind to it and look for like I have. Or are you going to be stubborn and say that none of that matters and that Jews aren’t the true indigenous people of Israel even though they have all the proof in Israel they need to disprove your little rant?) that dates back to being older than the time in which Palestinians were first placed in Israel? Its just like every other person on this stupid site saying things that their mind can’t even comprehend. None of you have facts, you just keep spouting out what all the biased people of the western hemisphere feed you, yet you only interpret what you want in the a way that helps you to hate Israel. You feel that if you hearone thing against Israel that has no proof to back it up, that you have a plausible reason to hate Jews like me. Next question is, why shouldn’t Israeli soldiers be allowed to defend themselves? of course the media never says how long the soldiers were enduring these rocks being thrown at thyem, and the media never mentions how many warnings were given before the soldiers finally opened fired with little, tiny, rubber bullets that are aimed for the stomach to only stop the harrassment, not aimed to killed. Wouldn’t you shoot those same rubber bullets too if you were being harrassed on a daily basis, or are you going to lie and say,”I would take those rocks like a true human would and leave those poor people alone?” No, you would do the same thing, so don’t kid yourself. Truthfully, everyone here rants about how Israel is so bad, well I’m Jewish, and I have no problems with Muslims, or Palestinians, or any person Islamic, in fact I have friends that are Muslims, so why don’t you quit with the hate crime on Jews, and start to gather some facts before you get on a site and start speaking of something you have no clue about because since when is someone bad when they support the people that hate them (I.E. supposedly all Palestinians hate me, yet I’m all for helping them)? I believe that both Palestinians and Jews should be allowed to live in Israel together, but for that to happen, people like you should quit whinning about problems that are out of your hands, and just support the whole story, and try to help all of those people in Israel, not just the Palestinians or just the Jews. Oh, and by the way, Israel is too damn badass to just sit down, and quit working hard, last I remember, Israel has the most up-to-date airforce, and even as small as a country that they are they still seem to survive against all of the bullying they take from the nations surrounding them. GO ISRAEL!!! Thats for you Boot, and heraldmage…
