LESTER HOLT:
And a sign of the times tonight on a football field in Hawaii. The NFL is relaxing its strict social media policy and allowing players to use Twitter to interact with fans during the Pro Bowl in Honolulu. There’ll be one designated computer on each sideline, no smartphones allowed. Players will be tweeting with the hashtag probowl. And by the way, you can catch the game coming up next, here on NBC.

this just makes me angry
Yet FAIR still refuses to talk about corporate art – how the same few media companies make the art, distribute the art, then promote it and give it great reviews on its shows – all this while blocking out any indie artists, art protests, or challenges to corporate art.
We’ve lost our arts, the heart and soul of the country, to buy and sell corporations.
Do you really think these celebrated corporate movies, records, books, are the best out there? Does anyone think this is the golden era of anything? Do you want more than sequels?
They relaxed it because the pro bowel is a joke. There is no worse contest in any sport event anywhere. The players just run through the motions yucking it up with each other. They Collect their checks and go home. They should end it like yesterday.Teams should simply not allow their players to go.Not worth injury. It is a stupid spectacle for only one reason…………….Money!
I don’t see how this is shameless self promotion. Are commercials shameless self promotion? It’s normal for any tv station to talk about what’s “coming up next” in case viewers are interested. Weird.
Well what do you expect them to do? This is one of their money making hogs so of course they will.
Why would NBC replace Tim with this arrogant, disrespectful, media hog David Gregory.
