For corporate media, the story of Russian fake news influencing the country promotes a climate where they can re-tighten their grip on the means of communication by accusing alternative media on both left and right of being Russian-sponsored fake news.
Looming over the Washington Post’s coverage of the Maryland governor’s race is Republican Gov. Larry Hogan’s ingratiating support for Amazon, the e-commerce giant owned by the world’s richest person, Jeff Bezos, who also happens to own the Washington Post.

Even if today’s socialist wing of the Democratic Party hasn’t won every underdog primary race against better-funded centrist opponents, it is apparent that progressives are winning the battle of ideas within the party.
Do elections represent the public will? Does everyone who wants to vote get to? How can we ensure that our voting process reflects the principles of democracy that are so insistently invoked?

What counts as “far left” to the Washington Post, the newspaper owned by the world’s richest human?
The NRA is a bit of a paper tiger, and I think more and more legislators will find that out as they challenge the NRA.
