I quit ABC a couple weeks ago partly because they didn’t like what I was doing. They viewed it as too biased.
Yes, ABC promoted Stossel to 20/20 anchor, gave him regular “Give Me a Break” commentary segments and one-hour, factually challenged primetime specials…all because they didn’t like him. It’s scary to think what the network would have done if they did like him.
No mention of John Stossel, no matter how trivial, should go by without the accompaniment of this video, in which the feckless fool get a much-needed come-uppance.
I wish he’d go back to ‘covering’ wrestling…

he didnt say he got no air time, he said they didnt LIKE his reporting. it was a hostile environment. its very stressful to work for people who hate you. why stay with abc when will fox will treat him better, he’ll probably get a bigger audience, and probably at the same pay? im surprised he stayed so long.

John Stossel used to have a liberal bias. Now he’s got a conservative bias. The guy’s not a journalist; he’s nothing but a cheap whore, who will take whatever position they pay him the most money to take. Period, end of story.

Stossel should do a repeat of that wrestling segment….face, meet the floor.
Not only does he display his biased points of view on primetime TV, he has a whiny tone that, I suppose, is intended to conceal it, which was very annoying. On the surface, with his whiny tone, he sounded like some loopy left winger, but then you’d get the punchline and it would be: “Oh I see what he’s trying to say now.”
So Fox is definately a better fit for him. No news there.
To DF: Stossel is not properly a moron, he’s a douche bag which I believe technically involves being a moron so if I were to say that: “Stossel is a moron AND a douche”, that would be redundant.
He said HE quit ABC? Hardly. I believe ABC dumped him. They hired him when the country had elected Bush and ABC thought the show needed a conservative edge in keeping with the supposed tenor of the country. That was then; this is now. And times being the opposite now, they told him, sorry buddy – you just aren’t really what people want now. ABC and the rest of the broadcast media doesn’t give a damn about anything else except feeding people what they want to hear or what they think people want to hear and the only thing that matters is eyeballs. Audiences were complaining about Stossel’s bullshit and that meant loss of eyeballs and then loss of sponsorship $.
To Stossel – hey buddy, we’re just “not that into you”. His excuse reminds me of men I have dated who when they KNOW they are about to be dumped because they are a jerk, etc., will dump first to try to look better. Stossel, you are SO busted with that ploy.
In his own Libertarian element. Where the wild-eyed things are, he should feel at home. Just like Glenn Beck and all the others including Bernard Goldberg. Where they are fit to be themselves.
It will be great seeing John Stossel’s wit, intelligence and common sense at Fox. He’ll finally be able to get a chance to honestly report on the falsehoods the liberal media are spewing. The lies of global warming, bigger government is better, unions are great, cap & trade is good, we won’t lower taxes for the middleclass, etc. will be reported by John with the facts. Congrats John!!

John Stossel’s lack of knowledge about our energy situation is amazing. T. Boone Pickens wants to get off foreign oil and use U.S. owned natural gas to power our heavy truck industry and all Stossel could talk about was the evil of gov’t subsides. Of course he wants subsidies and of course he is invested natural gas companies. Stossel seemed confused when T. Boone and the other guest(some nervous hack author) starting speaking about the basic facts of the oil market. I won’t be watching that program in the future. fyi- I am not a dem and I am not for big gov’t at all.
