On the show this week, we take a look at a big New York Times exclusive on Russia–one the paper quietly walked back a few days later.
Also: David Brooks offers his thoughts on the Mideast and Barack Obama’s “manhood problem.” And right after a US drone strike, CNN finds a guest who says innocent civilians don’t die in such strikes.
Watch:

Re:FAIR TV Apr 25 2014. I just wanted to point out, that the Yemeni government has taken the money from the Bush regime to allow these drone strikes in name ‘War on Terror,’ and you would recall a few years ago that Wikileaks revealed that the initial strikes would be owed by that military clique of that government. This should also be a part of the reportage.
Since Ambassador Hill seems to be certain about the accuracy of our drones and since David Brooks seems to not have a manhood problem, I suggest that they both stand next to the civilians in those far off lands as the cowards behind the video game monitors in NM fire off missiles at them!
Thank you, FreeSpirit! I definitely think we should have no troops overseas who are not 50-plus years of age and we might include the qualification that they have big mouths which they spout off on television and radio, and in print.
The only true example where the US failure to act resulted in major negative results, and caused as much damage as an act of active war , is in the case of Syria, where early action to support the movement for democracy, freedom and dignity could have prevented the gradual radicalization of some factions in the opposition, saved hundreds of thousands of lives, prevented displacement of millions of people, inside syria as well as in the surrounding countries, and stopped the destabilization of the whole region that is still in turmoil, it could have prevented an unimaginable amount of destruction of homes, hospitals, bakeries, and other structures vital for life. It gave the upper hand to the Russians, Iranians and Hezbollah, and other factions supportive to Assad’s regime to dominate the scene and eventually causing a catastrophe of unimaginable dimensions .
After a long period of inaction the president announced the Chemical weapons ” red line” , but when the Russians and Assad’s regime played their ticket right , and the Assad faced no consequence to his actions, the US lost all what was left of its credibility throughout the world not only among the locals, who found themselves stranded between a regime that does not shy of doing any cruel action to remain in power and a US administration that keeps on finding an excuse to avoid stopping that regime and causing the destruction of the livelihood of millions of innocent civilian lives that were stranded in cities throughout the country.
When the Russian president found this inaction to be a policy of US administration he did not hesitate to act later in Ukraine, and may even invade it in the near future .
Not only that the US credibility as a superpower that support human rights(promoted by the Obama administration after the Bush era) is
completely lost in Syria at this time, but the image and credibility of the US may have been lost throughout the whole world forever .
