Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Stephen Loiaconi (WJLA, 10/13/16) quoted FAIR’s Jim Naureckas on the legitimacy of examining Donald Trump’s treatment of women as a campaign issue:
To a degree, Trump brought the scrutiny he now faces on himself by making Bill Clinton’s infidelity and unproven claims of assault against him part of the campaign, according to Jim Naureckas of Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting, a liberal media watchdog group.
“Trump himself made it clear that he thought that Hillary Clinton’s handling of charges of sexual wrongdoing against her husband in the 1990s should be a key, even decisive issue,” Naureckas said.
Later in the article, Naureckas compared the handling of the abuse charges to the coverage of the Clinton campaign emails released by WikiLeaks:
Naureckas said the emails are a legitimate story, and one that provides unique insight into a presidential campaign, but he warned against trying to equate it with the allegations against Trump.
“One should not give readers the impression that a candidate revealed to have crafted public statements for political effect is the same sort of thing as a candidate being accused of sexual assault,” he said.

Ah, it wasn’t Trump who sexually assaulted women–I believe you may have him confused with alleged rapist Bill Clinton–whom Hillary went to great effort to protect, by denigrating his victims. Or Hillary, herself, who got off a child rapist in 1975, and later laughed about it.
Renae, that story about Hillary laughing at the 12 year old rape victim has been blown way out of proporation and is too complicated for those who find it easier to hurl brickbats rather than examine the story.
Hillary did not boast about the defendant or laugh at the victim . Initially, she did not want the case but she took it on reluctantly at the behest of a colleague. evidence cleared the man of rape but he spent a year in jail on a lesser charge.what Hillary laughed about was unusual apsects f the case. In no way was she boastting or laughing about getting a “rapist” off scot-free.BTW for the record I am no fan of Hillary.
The woman’s a psychopath. She did the same psycho laugh at news of Muammar Ghaddafi’s lynching by AmeriKKKa’s pet terrorist horde in 2Libya, then dismissed the shambles she made of an African nation, which had been one of the continent’s most prosperous.
You can go through elaborate contortions to convince yourself that she’s sane. But just be ready to see your family members die in an assured war against Russia, should KKKlinton be elected.
I say you Renee are the one elaborately contorting the meaning of words. You can hate her, but to say she is insane is the ultimate in hyperbole. Look up the meaning of psychopath, it does not apply to her. For an insane psychopath, she’s succeeded in life fairly well. Are you seriously going to put her in the company of Ted Bundy, the BTK killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc? You don’t have to like her laugh. Was Phyllis Diller a psycho because she had an unusual laugh? You act like she is the only reason Libya is in shambles. It was in shambles, in Civil War, before she talked Obama into intervening to stave off an imminent massacre by Khadaffi. It takes way more than one Sec of State to cause what’s happening in Libya. You might as well blame Mohammed Bouazizi, the Tunisian street vendor who set himself on fire and started the Arab spring movement for every bit of chaos in North Africa and the Middle East. If you want to blame American politicians for creating Hell on earth, how about the Bush Jr. administration and the neocons. Hilary voted for the Iraq invasion. that’s a more to the point criticism. You sound very HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess tens of thousands of dead Libyans and a lynched African don’t meet your definition of ‘psychopath’. Excuse, then–
She’s a sociopath. Better?
What? She manufactured evidence – it has been made know to me that this girl has fantasies about and throws herself at men – and in the tape she is laughing about how guilty he was (wildly unprofessional) and making weird comments that indicate either she was to stupid to know polygraph test are useless or she assumed the audience was too ignorant to know that
So, she was completely unprofessional during and after a case with very high stakes for the victim – and she thinks she can sell this as a funny story Bad business from start to finish.
Actually the prosecutor made a deal with the guy. So in actuality, its the prosecutor you all should be hating on.
She took a 12-year-old apart on the witness stand–even implying that the child enticed her own rape, thus blaming the victim. So much for Killery’s lies about being a pioneering ‘feminist’. See the Daily Mail’s interview with Kathy Shelton.
You don’t seem to understand how this works. Prosecutors don’t swoop in and make deals. Deals are based on cases – in this case the defense had manufacturered evidence that slandered the victim.
Trump boasts of sexually assaulting women — while Clinton’s corrupt, oily-smooth, crony capitalist behavior and policies have been raping the American people for a generation. Now she wants us to bend over. Again.
Neither candidate deserves a single vote.
Is Election is Personal abuses war? Ira Dember said true that capitalist behavior and policies have been raping the American people for a generation. They are abusing each others and blaming. This is democracy ?
So they’re both legitimate stories, so why does the corporate media devote about ten times as much coverage to Trump’s buffoonery? FAIR, of all organizations, should understand that the corporate media, with 3 weeks left till the election, has now shifted out of ratings mode and into the business of making sure the preferred candidate of the establishment oligarchy gets in.
In her emails, she and her campaign have indicated the utter contempt they have for ordinary Americans (“hate” is the word they used), how they’ve been “happy to keep people compliant and unaware,” and how they plotted to fool “self-righteous” Bernie delegates into thinking they’ve won something. But the corporate media prefers to talk about Trump Trump Trump.
Yes, Trump’s a jerk and a buffoon. But to my knowledge, he’s never killed anyone.
Trump didn’t push for the overthrow of the Libyan government and laugh about it.
Trump didn’t legitimize the coup in Honduras, which has turned the country into the murder and rape capital of the world.
And Trump didn’t push for the catastrophically insane idea of a no-fly zone over Syria, which risks nuclear war with Russia.
I feel like I’m watching a slow motion train wreck… a disaster in the making. We have a candidate who’s actively pursuing policies that are putting us at the greatest risk of nuclear war since the Cuban Missile Crisis… and the entire country (FAIR’s readership and a few voices in the wilderness excepted), is in the grip of a collective delusion that she is the LESSER of the two evils!
Funny how FAIR is an oxymoron in and of itself and its author’s opinions. One piece of evidence is the solitary picture of guess who: TRUMP. Who would have thought? And, of course, no picture of the once and future ‘queen’ (of hell). Get real and admit the obvious…
That does not at all sound like natural language.
