This week on FAIR TV: Was Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s UN address, illustrated with a cartoon bomb, really “professorial”? Plus some thoughts on whether the media should be declaring the Afghan surge “over,” and an update on what the Washington Post is telling activists about its ties to Big Oil.

Here’s another question from a long-time FAIR subscriber. Is it “professional” for an avowed media watchdog like Hart to assert a grotesque lie, namely, that there is “no evidence” that Iran has nuclear bomb aspirations?
Hart has been called out on this lie numerous times, but refuses to retract it.
In a broader sense, with respect to its Middle East reporting, is it “professional” for FAIR to function merely as an anti-Zionist propaganda organ?
OK William, tell us what the “lie” is?
It is the “Truth” that the UN inspectors have spent many hours looking for evidence of “bomb-making capability”. It is the truth that they have found none. It is the truth that Iran has allowed the inspectors to look at their facilities, has cooperated with the inspection teams.
On the other hand Isreali apologists like yourself, continue to distort the facts, and attempt at every turn to create lies to manufacture another monster lie like Iraq’s suposed nuclear weapons ready in 24 hours to attack Israel….none were ever found.
Israel is the big lier here, has been unwilling to allow inspectors to check THEIR nuclear weapons. Has been unwilling to join the nonproliferation agreement. Has constantly been the little boy crying “WOLF”
William, I think you need to provide some evidence for these claims. The top constitutional leadership in Iran (the Supreme Leader) has said that it is against Islam to develop nuclear weapons. Repeated inspections show no developing weapons programs. Iran’s actual enriched uranium stockpile is declining as it is being employed for-peaceful purposes.
Israel has never allowed comparable openness regarding its nuclear facilities and ambitions and has jailed its own citizens for acknowledging the existence of Israeli nuclear weapons, which are a secret only in that the State of Israel does not openly acknowledge what anyone can see from publically-available sources, journalistic, analytical, and scholarly.
Treating Israel the way Iran has been treated would indeed be anti-Zionist. Simply reporting the facts when others report alarms out of context does not constitute an anti-Zionist agenda, particularly when the former head of Mossad says that Netanyahu is taking the wrong approach in dealing with the potential Iranian threat.
Versus William, I respond: if FAIR did not criticize the egregious policies of Israel, who would? Apparently William thinks there is no room for criticism. But the Israeli political class is degenerate and unworthy, as is obvious to anyone.
Poking around the site for this, but is FAIR TV available in a video podcast format? Would love to subscribe to downloads via iPhone, following the YouTube channel for now. Thanks for your hard work.
